The Faithfull No.80 cabinet scraper is perfect for removing fine shavings from wood, leaving a smooth, dust-free finish. Ideal for smoothing knots, burrs, and crossed grain, as well as removing old surface finishes from large areas. Unlike abrasives, it doesn't produce dust that can clog the wood grain. Its 70mm wide, 1.8mm thick blade is securely held within a robust grey iron cast body with a machined base. The ergonomic wing handles ensure comfortable use, even during extended periods. Adjust the cut from coarse to fine by simply turning the thumbscrew, which subtly bends the blade and controls its protrusion. The blade is easily resharpened using a sharpening stone, and a burr can be created with a burnishing tool.
