Faithfull gas quality PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) tape provides a gas, air, and watertight seal on threaded joints. Essential for working on gas pipework, this invaluable tape is suitable for use on BS21 threads up to 50mm (2in). It's non-adhesive, eliminating messy compounds, and won't harden or dry out. Resistant to cracking and impermeable to >20 bar, it also offers a lubricating function. Used widely in plumbing and heating for sealing pipes, conduits, bolts, valves, and threaded gas lines carrying common gases (air, oxygen, ammonia, butane, chlorine, hydrogen) and liquids (water, propylene glycol, kerosene, diesel). This tape meets BGC IM/16 and is tested to EN751-3:1997. Supplied as a pack of 10 rolls.
