Its solid forged carbon manganese steel blade and socket are correctly tempered for exceptional strength, while the welded tubular steel shaft ensures a strong, smooth connection. A powder-coated finish provides rust prevention, and the wide, deep MYD hilt comfortably accommodates large and gloved hands. Added comfort is provided by a wooden cross dowel.
