Ideal for bleaching natural timber to a lighter shade before staining it with Rustins Wood Dyes to achieve a desired wood tone. This two-part solution works to brighten wood, revealing its natural beauty or preparing it for a new stain.

Preparation: This product only works on bare wood. All varnish, lacquer, or polish must be removed beforehand. Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper is recommended for removing old finishes. Scrape off as much old finish as possible, then dampen the surface again with Strypit and rub with the grain using NO. 1 or 2 steel wool. Wipe clean and allow to dry.

Application: Apply solution A to clean, dry wood with a brush and leave for 10-20 minutes. Then apply solution B. Some woods may darken temporarily after applying solution A; the bleaching occurs after applying solution B. Allow a minimum of 2 hours drying time after applying solution B. Ensure sufficient solution is applied to prevent drying out and crystal formation.

Re-coating: For very dark or badly stained wood, repeat the application of both solutions after 2 hours.
